Open Memo to My Fellow Conservatives (No. 3 in a Series)

Dear Fellow Conservatives,

Barry Goldwater was set to campaign with John F. Kennedy all across the United States debating him.

William F. Buckley had a television series just for debating the opposition.

Ronald Reagan would go at it with House Speaker Tip O’Neil during the day, and then have him over for drinks at night.

These three, the trinity of conservatism, regularly debated the opposition about the direction of our country.

So why is it we don’t seem capable of debating each other aboot the direction of our party?

Sincerely,
John Brodigan
