Another blog on Bobby Jindal and 2012

Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal travel all the way to Iowa last night to keynote a fundraising dinner for the Iowa Family Policy Center’s “Celebrating the Family” banquet. Of course since a politician is going to Iowa that has to mean he’s running for president, right? I mean it has too. There’s no reason for anyone to go to Iowa unless they’re running for president.

Not so says the Governor. So sayeth He who we on the right will be obsessing over for the next 4-8 years:

“The most important thing for me is to be the best governor for the state of Louisiana. If the people of Louisiana will allow me, I’m going to serve for two terms. I’m not running for president.”

Larry Sabato ain’t having none of that junk:

“Jindal is preparing the way for an eventual run for president. No one knows whether it’s in 2012 or 2016. He doesn’t either. Events will dictate that. But no one in politics is naive enough to think that you can attend political events in the first caucus state without it being interpreted as a pre-presidential foray,”

So what does all this have to do with the price of tea in China? Nothing, other than the fact that some of us have blogs to write. I stand by my original belief that he (or Sarah Palin for that matter) wouldn’t run until 2016. If the next two years don’t go well for President-Elect BAM, then things might change. Even so, I still see him standing back and letting party elders like Mitt Romney or Newt Gingrich having their shot.

He will be their running mate though.
