[VIDEO]: Yes I Cantor!

So yeah, in case you haven’t caught on, much like you and everyone who considers themselves to be a Republican and/or a conservative, I’m rapidly becoming a HUGE fan of Eric Cantor. Yes, even huger than the last time I said I’m becoming a huge fan. It’s close to a man crush, he’s that cool.

During the transition, there was talk aboot what the best way us to play “loyal opposition” to an uber-popular President Obama. The one that made the most sense was support him when we can, oppose him when we must, and every step of the way make sure we have an alternative plan we feel is better for the American people. Cantor has developed into the perfect spokesman for that. Point of fact, the new Smarter, Simpler Stimulus website.

He’s set up a website where we can leave comments on what we want do and don’t want to see in a “stimulus” plan (as opposed to the Democrat Fiscal Suicide Act of 2009, which is mainly a boondoggle of liberal special interests), and push the House Republican plan of…say it with me now…smarter, simpler, stimulus.

Five easy points:

Mitt Romney Sucks

No, my man Mitt most definitely does not suck. But since I already used “Mitt Romney Announces His Run for Presidency” as a headline, “Mitt Romney Sucks” is next line for my “bait and switch” series. Yeah, I can be a dick like that. :-)

Actually, the one aboot Mitt announcing his run for President would have been more apropos here. Apparently, while the RNC was busy electing Michael Steele to be the new chairman, the House GOP held their annual retreat, and one of the featuring speakers? You guessed it, the man himself, Mitt Romney.

Here’s a little of what he had to say:

A few months have passed since the election. It’s enough time to consider the outcome and take stock of our party’s future. I want to make clear that I’m optimistic: our ideas are good, our agenda will make America stronger, and your action this week showed that we have the kind of leaders who will stand up for what they believe in. I have often been asked what I think the Republican Party must do to recover. What I’ve said is this: My first concern isn’t about our party-it’s about our country.

Michael Steele: Win Baby, Win

“To my friends in the northeast: Get ready, baby, it’s time to turn it on.” - Michael Steele

WAAAAAH! Michael Steele is a RiNO! Michael Steele is a squishy moderate! Michael Steele is going to drag us to the center! He’s not a “real” conservative…I kid, I kid.

It took six ballots and more than a few anxious moments for those of us following along on Twitter, but in the end the RNC did the right thing and elected the right man for the party, Michael Steele. I’m sure the open minded and tolerant progressives have already started with their “progressive” comments and op-research, to which I say…actually, I don’t have the time to waste on these douchebags. I’m in the northeast, and as the man says, it’s time to turn it on.

Plus now that I know it wasn’t Mike Duncan or Katon Dawson elected, I have a donation to make.

So sayeth my new Chairman…

UFC 94: Randy Couture Picks a Winner

I know I’ve told you who I think is going to win the Georges St. Pierre vs. BJ Penn fight, but who cares what I think? I’m just some schmuck with a blog. Okay fine. How aboot Randy Couture. Do we care what he thinks?

Here’s how “Captain America” sees things going Saturday night…

“B.J. is one of the most talented guys that I’ve ever been around. He has amazing balance and flexibility. He’s got naturally heavy hands. His submission skills are top notch, but I still think we’ve seen him at 155 fight the best that he has. Although he beat Matt Hughes back in the day at 170, it was more of a style match-up than anything. Conditioning, the body, mindset, everything, it was the best it’s ever been at 155.

“I just don’t see it going well for (Penn) going up to 170, dealing with a guy like Georges who is cutting down a good 15 pounds, probably more, to make the 170-pound limit, who is as dynamic and has the skill sets that Georges has. Although, I think it’s going to be a very interesting fight. I like Georges in a five-round title fight, in that fight.”

Slaughter – Up All Night

For the one or two Marc Slaughter fans out there…

Morning Grind

Bye bye BLAGO! :-(

Republicans can’t possibly do something this stupid, can they?

The public ain’t so crazy aboot the “stimulus” plan.

Obama tries to game the system.

The return of small busines populism?

And what the heck, one more on how the Democrat stimuls plan stinks on ice.
