I first heard of them with Bon Jovi’s “Who Says You Can’t Go Home,” but outside of thinking that the blond was cute and had a decent voice, I wasn’t encouraged to hop on Limewire to investigate them further. That changed when I saw the video for “Stay.”

I haven’t been so moved by a song and video since Johnny Cash’s “Hurt,” and while I normally will say a song is worth an illegal file share, “Stay” is well worth the purchase on iTunes. The lyrics are amazing, and the emotion Jennifer Nettles displayed in the video, like when she started crying as the song kept playing…I don’t know who the dumb bastard is that shattered her heart, but she was able to turn it into a beautiful piece of art, so it looks like she wins.

The videos I’ve selected for your viewing pleasure are a liver version of “Stay” (since the label done went and had all the videos removed), “Just Might (Make me Believe)” with a special guest star, and a cover of “Life in a Northern Town” with a bunch of other country artists…
