Obama’s “Rush” to Judgment

By now you may have heard that President Obama condescending implied insultingly insinuated mentioned in a bi-partisan way that Republicans are easily lead by Rush Limbaugh, and that’s why things don’t get done in Washington.

At first glance it might appear to be your typical liberal attitude that anyone who disagrees with them is obviously  too stupid to know any better.  But, since Obama is The Man who’s going to bring people together, I’m sure he didn’t mean it like that. You know, because of change and stuff.

As for that “typical liberal attitude,” Stephen Kruiser (known to us on Twitter as @stephenkruiser), had a few thoughts on the matter…

Fiscal Suicide: #biteme

As the President meets with the House and Senate GOP over the 2009 Fiscal Suicide Act, just so fair and balanced reporters like Keith Olbermann and Andrea Mitchell can drool over themselves aboot how mad bi-partisan he’s being, I thought I’d take a look at how folks are organizing against it, grass roots style.

Obviously the most important thing is ReadtheStimulus.org. This is a website set up by the Heritage Foundation and others to post FSA09 online so the taxpayers can see how their tax money is being spent. The Obama administration and/or the Democrat Congress were going to do this, but it’s Tuesday and they plan to vote on Wednesday. We’re still waiting. That’s some transparency you can believe in right there, I don’t care what you say.

Nancy Pelosi Rocks My Socks

I didn’t think much aboot Nancy Pelosi saying on Sunday that abortions free condoms “family planning” is economic stimulus. I figured most American’s aren’t as stupid as the Speaker thinks they are and would see through this as nothing more than a payoff to a Democrat special interest group, just so they can take our tax dollars and give it back to the Democrat party in the form of campaign contributions or PAC money.

I suppose some closed-minded and intolerant people from “fly over country” might be offended that in the middle of a financial crisis the Democrats want to buy contraceptives offer “family planning” to teenagers and others, but whatever. Those people are probably in the small minority.

But surprisingly there were quite a few people offended by this, including JBdotC managing editor Tabitha Hale. Here’s what Ms. Hale had to say…

In Defense of George W. Bush’s Presidency

My PCLIVE! partner Mark Radulich, the Sodom to my Gomorrah, wrote a provocative piece called “In Defense of George W. Bush’s Presidency.” What makes it provocative is the way he finds things to say other than “war criminal” and “Bush sucks.” So sayeth Mark…

I am no groveling Bush apologist. I believe he has some serious faults and that he made many poor decisions as president. If that were the extent of the overall structure of any discussion regarding his presidency I wouldn’t be writing this. However, I don’t do very well with erratic, shrieking hyperbole based solely on what appears to be a combination of lack of historical perspective, a blend of post traumatic stress disorder and avoidant personality disorder, and overall dementia.
