[VIDEO]: Bobby Jindal’s Big Night

You’ve gotta crush on him! You love him! You wanna have like 10,000 of his babies!

Tuesday night is Gov. Bobby Jindal’s big night. While most of you reading this blog right now already know and/or adore him, for most of America who don’t follow the politics as closely, their introduction to Jindal will be in response to Dear Leader’s speech to a joint session of Congress. No pressure, okay Big Guy?

There are two key questions: what will he say, and how will he, for lack of a better term, “perform?” We may have gotten a glimpse of what we might see as Gov. Jindal left the White House Monday afternoon.

I think Allahpundit summed it up perfectly

An incredibly moving tribute to all our veterans…

Night Moves

The RNC has got your Democrat “Fiscal Responsibility” right here.

So President Obama is going to speak on “fiscal responsibility” a day or two before Nancy Pelosi announces a new spending bill, and dollars to donuts Republicans get blasted for not being all mad bi-partisan when we say, “slow your role.”

Apparently if you refuse a loan to some who can’t afford to pay you back you’re a racist.

Hey look, the DOW dropped some more.

And apparently my two senators are greedy.

Fiscal Suicide: IT’S A TRAP!

A gang of Republican Governors have created quite a brou-ha-ha over their decision not to take all of the “stimulus” money given to their state. I believe they are letting their “ideology” get in their way of what’s best for the American people, especially since you and I both know only liberals take principled stances on things.

Granted a person’s “ideology” tends to be guided by what they think is in the best interest of the American people, but whatever.

Here’s the thing though, it would appear that these governors might have a method to their madness after all. There’s concern that the Pelosi-Obama massive spending bill might set a long term budget trap for the states who accept the money. Here’s the Wall Street Journal with more…

Leave Carly Fiorina Alone

I mentioned yesterday aboot declaring mob rule as far as the Republican Party goes, and letting the state parties decide for themselves how best to be a Republican in their state and win. So I don’t really care all that much aboot the California Senate race, outside of that I think this plays to a bigger problem we have.

There have been rumors that Carly Fiorina (former HP CEO and McCain Adviser) was considering a run for US Senate. Conservatives have decided their candidate to be Assemblyman Chuck DeVore, and launched an anti-Fiorina site attacking her for anything they can think, least of all not being a “real” conservative. (The site was down when I posted this, so I didn’t include the link).

I have a serious issue with these “anonymous sites” attacking fellow Republicans for not drinking the full glass of conservative Kool-aid, a sentiment echoed recently by Jim Geraghty

Tim Pawlenty Needs a Hug

Tim Pawlenty is an interesting cat to follow. His name is regularly thrown around as a potential candidate in 2012, but it’s hard to see where he fits in. He doesn’t create the excitement of a Sarah Palin or have the near impeccable fiscal conservative credentials like a Bobby Jindal or a Mark Sanford. He’s just a Republican from one of the bluest of blue states, trying to make a dollar out of fifteen cents.

But little by little he seems to be making moves, and as people continue to look towards the GOP Governors for new leaders and new ideas, he’s one of the governors people seem to like to interview. Maybe they expect him to be one of them squishy-moderates, but when he speaks out on the “kitchen table issues” it’s always as a principled conservative, who has been applying some of those core principles to run a “blue” state.

He sat down recently with Geraghty the Indispensable to discuss the Generational Theft Act recently signed into law…
