With Apologies to Mitt Romney

Since that’s the general theme of every blog post I seem to write aboot Mitt Romney, “With Apologies…” seemed like an apropos title, what with the whole hating on him during the primaries and all. I’m still catching up on a days worth of faux outrage and demagoguery (my computer just had the hardest time spell checking “demagoguery”), but it would appear a guy who may of actually learned a thing or two aboot the economy over the course of his career running things might have been a better choice after all.

I think this might be his course of action for the next year. While other R’s throw grenades and criticized whatever they can (just like the D’s would do to us if the roles were reversed), I think the Romney strategy is too act like a grown-up and write as many editorials as he can that basically say, “I know more aboot this stuff than you.”

Like in the “D.C. Examiner” today…

We Just Can’t Quit Sarah Palin

People just can’t get enough of Sarah Palin. Some of it is silly, like ABC News traveling to Alaska just to ask a nineteen year old why he’s not getting married instead of questioning Democrat senator Chris Dodd aboot receiving more political contributions from AIG than any other politician in 2008 (President Dear Leader was number two on that list).

Also silly is the house and senate announcing that the Governor was going to be coming to Washington because the SarahPAC said so…apparently without checking with the Governors office. Oopsie.

But then there’s this. Apparently while other governors are struggling, Sarah Palin is sitting on a 61% approval rating! So sayeth some research group I’ve never heard of…

Song of the Day: I Useta Lover

Everyone have a Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Go mbeannaí Dia duit!

Night Moves

Oh goodie, ACORN might be doing the census.

More fun with the AIG bailouts.

Apparently the Democrats were so angry, they wrote a letter.

Obama’s job is harder than FDR’s?

What what what?!?

And this is why you’re fat

Jon Stewart Disappointed Me

I’m usually a big fan, but Jon Stewart really disappointed me over this Jim Cramer kerfuffle. He looked like just another guy who got their marching orders from the Obama Administration to attack anyone who criticized them, which is disappointing because he was always one of the first to criticize the Bush Administration when they did my same.

My opinion is mainly the same as most other conservatives. He never seemed to think Cramer was a “snake oil salesman” when he was criticizing George Bush, or late last year when Cramer was singing the praises of the economic team Obama put together. If we want to attack people for not doing the “investigative journalism,” let’s look at the New York Times, the Washington Post, MSNBC, CNN…or even Congress, which for the past two years has been under Nancy Pelosi control, who could have held hearings and subpoenaed anyone she felt like.

Does Jon Stewart think that Chuck Schumer and Chris Dodd, the chairmen of the Senate Finance and Banking committees respectively, “knew what the bankers were doing?” BTW, Schumer and Dodd are two of the top recipients of AIG campaign donations.

But since the last thing we need is another conservative complaining aboot it, I give you Richard Cohen, my favourite New York liberal this side of Lee Goldman…

[VIDEO]: Don’t Blame AIG, Blame Obama

I love faux outrage, and the brou ha ha over the AIG bonuses was chock full of it today. It’s one of those things where I don’t even know where to start (Chris Dodd is an option), so let’s just look at what I feel is misdirected anger. People are upset aboot AIG for giving mad bonuses after being bailed out by the government. Me? I’m upset at cats like Barack Obama and John McCain who DIDN’T THINK OF THIS WHEN THEY BAILED THEM OUT IN THE FIRST PLACE!

It wasn’t just the two of them, but since they were the ones who had the biggest stage at the time (you know, what with that whole election thing), I hold them mainly responsible for standing there while we rushed a or the bailout (honestly, I forget which one bailed out what) and handed AIG a check without conditions. We gave what many perceived to be an irresponsible financial institution and blank check, and are now outraged that they acted like an irresponsible financial institution we gave a blank check to.

And since Obama is the guy who won, I give you Politico.com…
