Mitt Romney is running for President in 2012. Of course, that means in every interview between today and sometime in 2011, he has to tell people that he isn’t even thinking about running for President in 2012. You’ll usually get a mash-up of crossing bridges when you get to them, not knowing what the future will bring, and only being focus on this year’s upcoming election. You and I both know it’s bullshit.
While Romney pretends not to be running for President, he continues raising more money than anyone else, giving that money to more candidates to anyone else, and campaigning for more candidates then…wait for it…anyone else. Then there are also the speeches, the TV interviews, and the book he has coming out early next year.
But what if Mitt Romney were president now? Even those of us with buyer’s remorse from the primaries don’t think any Republican was going to win, but when you look at everything Dear Leader is doing, it’s easy to wonder how someone else would be doing a better job. JBdotC Chief Political Correspondent Byron York sat down with the former Governor to ask how a Mitt Romney presidency would be different…
Kimbo Slice! Rampage Jackson quits the UFC! Anderson Silva vs. Vitor Belfort is (almost) signed! All that, and much more! Well, not much more…
Marco Rubio doesn’t stand a chance at becoming the next Senator of Florida, or at least that is the opinion of the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) who endorsed Rubio’s primary opponent FL Gov. Charlie Crist the day he announced he was going to run. Rubio has so little a chance, the NRSC felt it necessary to interject themselves a full year and a half before Florida votes.
I think a lot of us, even those who have been supportive of her in the past, rolled their eyes when they heard that Sarah Palin was going to be giving a speech to foreign investors in China. And before you say it, no, she can’t see China from her house. Let’s try and leave the jokes to hacks like David Letterman and Keith Olbermann.
There’s been talk that our Dear Leader might be over exposed. Back in the day, the President would rarely give a big speech or a big interview. Then when he did, you knew it was important. This President seems to call a prime time address everytime his poll numbers run into trouble, which is why I don’t totally hold it against Fox for airing “So You Think You Can Dance?”
