If Mitt Romney were President…

Mitt Romney is running for President in 2012. Of course, that means in every interview between today and sometime in 2011, he has to tell people that he isn’t even thinking about running for President in 2012. You’ll usually get a mash-up of crossing bridges when you get to them, not knowing what the future will bring, and only being focus on this year’s upcoming election. You and I both know it’s bullshit.

While Romney pretends not to be running for President, he continues raising more money than anyone else, giving that money to more candidates to anyone else, and campaigning for more candidates then…wait for it…anyone else. Then there are also the speeches, the TV interviews, and the book he has coming out early next year.

But what if Mitt Romney were president now? Even those of us with buyer’s remorse from the primaries don’t think any Republican was going to win, but when you look at everything Dear Leader is doing, it’s easy to wonder how someone else would be doing a better job. JBdotC Chief Political Correspondent Byron York sat down with the former Governor to ask how a Mitt Romney presidency would be different…

Rear Naked Blogging: Kimbo Slice Enters the Octagon

Kimbo Slice! Rampage Jackson quits the UFC! Anderson Silva vs. Vitor Belfort is (almost) signed! All that, and much more! Well, not much more…

KIMBO SLICE - Kimbo Slice makes his UFC debut this Wednesday, as he faces former IFL Champion Roy Nelson on the “Ultimate Fighter.” It’s funny, you would think the former six-figure fighter who had an entire organization built around him would be the one with a sense of entitlement. Yet, Kimbo is busting his ass and Nelson is the fat bastard who doesn’t think he needs to listen to his coaches, just because he’s a “veteran” and a “former champion.”

RAMPAGE RETIRES - As for Kimbo’s coach; Rampage Jackson announced his retirement from fighting. Apparently when I wrote that Dana White was ok with him ditching the Rashad Evans fight to shoot the new “A-Team” movie, I was wrong. Dana has been going apeshit, and out of anger Rampage quit. Yes, people quit on Dana all the time. They always come back.

George Will Anoints Marco Rubio

Marco Rubio doesn’t stand a chance at becoming the next Senator of Florida, or at least that is the opinion of the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) who endorsed Rubio’s primary opponent FL Gov. Charlie Crist the day he announced he was going to run. Rubio has so little a chance, the NRSC felt it necessary to interject themselves a full year and a half before Florida votes.

You see, Rubio only has grassroots supports. He is only popular with “movement conservatives,” bloggers, and cats like Rush Limbaugh. Conservative opinion matters when it comes from Washington D.C. and folks who write for the “New York Times” and the “Washington Post.” They’re the serious Republicans whose opinion we need to take more seriously.

So when George Will (yes, that George Will) writes a Sunday column in support of Charlie Crist Marco Rubio, I suppose we should take that serious, right? After a few paragraphs of Crist bashing, he had this to say aboot Marco…

Th-Hers-Day: Take it Off

Palin to the Chineese: “I can see Tibet from my house…”

I think a lot of us, even those who have been supportive of her in the past, rolled their eyes when they heard that Sarah Palin was going to be giving a speech to foreign investors in China. And before you say it, no, she can’t see China from her house. Let’s try and leave the jokes to hacks like David Letterman and Keith Olbermann.

She went, she spoke, she impressed?

Admittedly I haven’t gotten to hear the speech myself, but from all account she did a great job apparently made a few more believers. Though, I’m sure this is just the conservative media trying to spin. Let’s take a look at that far-right extremist newsletter…The New York Times?!?

Hmmmm…

Rove to Obama: “Do Yourself a Favor and Shut Up…”

There’s been talk that our Dear Leader might be over exposed. Back in the day, the President would rarely give a big speech or a big interview. Then when he did, you knew it was important. This President seems to call a prime time address everytime his poll numbers run into trouble, which is why I don’t totally hold it against Fox for airing “So You Think You Can Dance?”

This past Sunday spoke to FIVE different Sunday shows (he skipped Fox because he’s afraid of people who are critical of him), then finished it off with a trip to the growing ideological David Letterman. He didn’t break new ground our announce a new policy shift, as much as he kept pushing a health care plan people don’t like, using the same talking points people aren’t listening to.

Well, not everybody isn’t listening. Thankfully my role model Karl Rove was paying attention, and here’s what he heard…
