Back in June, a few of my (mmm mmm mmm) young Republican colleagues took a day trip up to Albany, and when we weren’t reminiscing aboot drunken escapades and mistakes we knew we were making, talk turned to politics and specifically health care reform. One of my friends was bothered that no one was talking aboot how the Democrat plans was going to destroy medical innovation. This was back in June. They still aren’t.
Mike Barnicle likes to say that the American people are concerned aboot three issues and three issues only, “jobs, jobs, and jobs.” If memory serves, since February seems like a decade ago, we needed to pass the President’s “economic recovery” act (aka, the crap sandwich known as stimulus) otherwise unemployment would go past 8% and millions of people would lose their jobs. The bill passed. Unemployment is now at 10.2%.
During the campaign, you were never allowed to question Barack Obama’s lack of experience. You were allowed to question Sarah Palin’s lack of experience, not to mention her uterus and which kids were actually hers. But Obama? The Chosen One? Anytime you questioned the fact that he really didn’t have much experience at doing much of anything you were attacked by his surrogates of fearing change and best and being a racist at worse…and that was just buy the serious journalists at NBC News.
