President Obama can LOSE in 2012 (if we want him to)

Like most of you, I’m underwhelmed with the current crop of “rumored” candidates. I’m in for Mitch Daniels and a few of my friends dig this John Thune cat, but other than that…meh. I read a comparison on the Twitter to 1990 when Dems wanted to defeat Bush41, but said “meh” to their candidates until a Bill Clinton emerged. Some people are even ready to wait until 2016.

Before we give up altogether…Obama is beatable. Easy? No. Beatable? Yes. If you look at some of the states he won in 2008, some of them (FL, IN, NC, OH, VA) are traditionally “red” states the party has come back in over the past few years. Throw in Colorado and Wisconsin…and say hello to President-Elect DanielsThuneRomneyPawlentyHuckabeeLaDukePalinGingrichCain.

Mark McKinnon had a number of reasons why Obama is beatable next year. Yes, I realize McKinnon is one of them “no labels” RINOs who is secretly working with the Democrats and probably looking to install Sharia Law in the states. That said, my man does bring up some good points…

[VIDEO] Chris Chrstie has a Lot of Balls

This is why we love Chris Christie. We’ve all read aboot how Illinois has raised its taxes, making it unfriendly to people who run businesses there. People have been saying that this is going to be great for neighboring states, and those neighboring states Governor’s are passively saying how they would be happy to welcome these businesses to their states.

Christie, on the other hand, is airing radio commercials in the state…

Paul Ryan Wins the Week

Surprisingly, it’s not because he had a hit song written aboot him.

Just before Paul Ryan gave his response to the State of the Union, I had tweeted “If he pulled a Jindal, I’m gonna wild out and get violent.” This was a reference to Bobby Jindal giving a response two years ago that was so disastrous, this once “rising star in the party” hasn’t really recovered from as far as the “national stage” goes, which really sucked because his was a voice that we could have really used during the healthcare debate.

Thankfully, Ryan was more successful, especially as we’re getting into another debate on health care and are counting on him to be one of our leaders. The day after SOTU, he started to lead in his first hearing as chairman of the House Budget committee. The first thing we learned? Apparently two of the main promises that come with Obamacare are a bunch of hooey…

[VIDEO] Mitt Romney: Remember that Guy?

I’ve said before on this blog, I like the path Mitt Romney is taking to inevitably announcing he’s running for President. Instead of jumping up and down and rushing to the nearest camera over every national news story, he’s been behind the scenes raising money for candidates, traveling, and having dinner with a possible running mate?

He does make the rounds on occasion, and the State of the Union address seemed to be as good as a time as any. Besides responding to the President’s wish list for the next year, he’s also opining on who might make a good Presidential candidate for the Republicans…

You know, I don’t know who all is going to get in the race, but I do believe that it would be helpful if at least one of the people who is running in the Republican field had extensive experience in the private sector — in small business, in big business, working with the economy. Because, frankly, not just solving the near-term problems of unemployment — people not getting checks — is going to require someone with that experience — but also also long-term. We’ve got to have a strong economic foundation to make sure that we can stay ahead of the challenges we face — like a growing China and a militarily aggressive China. We’re going to have to stay so far ahead that no one ever questions the capacity of America to stand by the forces of freedom in the world.

Sound like anyone you’ve heard of? Video below the fold…
