Medicare, Messaging, and My Mom

People in my family and at work tend to turn to me as the resident political analyst whenever they have a question aboot something in the news or the 2012 erections. Apparently it’s assumed that by being both the host of the awesomely awesome “The Right Hook” and your 2011 New York State Young Republican of the Year, I have any idea what the hell I’m talking aboot. I know, right?

This brings me to my mom. She called me this morning to ask, “What’s this with the Republicans doing something to Medicare and Social Security?” She had heard on the news that they wanted to move to age to sixty-seven, do away with it, end it as we know it, place leftist talking point here. Her main concern was the age, because she’s sixty-two now.
