Jon Bon Jovi is Stealing From and Raping the Middle Class

Mic check. MIC CHECK!

It kills me to say this because besides seeing a million faces and rocking them all, the man is a national treasure. But sadly, it’s true. Jon Bon Jovi is stealing from the middle class.

Jon Bon Jovi, he who has been a member of the 1% that his fellow Obama followers hate and demonize since Mrs. Brodigan walked into Sears in 1987 to buy her son a copy of “Slippery When Wet,” gets a government hand out from the government…to raise bees. He only paid $100 in property taxes last year! He probably paid less money than his secretary! THIS IS WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE! THIS IS WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE!

And he’s not the only Obama supporting 1% celebrity who gets hand outs from the government either…

Happy 3rd Anniversary to Smart Girl Politics!

Just wanted to wish everyone at Smart Girl Politics a happy 3rd anniversary. I had started blogging around the same time that GSP launched, and my first “event” was the 9/12 march in 2009 where I first got to spend time with Stacy Mott, Teri Christoph, and Tabitha Hale.

After three years of blogging and twittering, of CPAC’s and Smart Girl Summits, of karaoke and Jack Daniels, I have had the opportunity to work with some great people and make some even greater friends, many of whom got their start or were at some point involved with Smart Girl Politics.

Happy Anniversary! I can’t wait to see what y’all have planned for your fourth year.

Harry Wilson for New York 2: Electric Bugaloo

Yes, I went for the hack “Electric Bugaloo” joke. Shut up.

The rumours about Harry Wilson challenging Sen. Kristen Gilligan for her US Senate Seat next year have been floating around for a few months now, most recently the other in the way of a Fred Dicker column in the New York post. Whether or not the rumours are true or not, your guess is as good as mine. The Dan Senor 2010 rumours still sting. But if they are true and Wilson is going to run, I’m in.

Besides all the reasons why he was just what NY (and the GOP) needed in a state wide candidate last year, the most important one is that he proved he can be competitive against the Democrats in a state wide race. Quite frankly, he would be Comptroller Wilson now if the top of our ticket last year were different.

So feel free to go through all my old blog posts on Harry Wilson, scribble out the world “DiNapoli,” and replaced it with “Gilligan.”

Second Look at Jon Huntsman?

Teh internets are going all apeshit because of Erick Erickson’s scathing take down of Mitt Romney, where he “endorsed” a second look at Jon Huntsman. I had mentioned last week that I had wanted to give him a chance, but if we do take a second look, the riddle me this…

His entire base seems to be the media who a) doesn’t vote in Republican primaries, and b) doesn’t vote for Republican’s in the general. So how does Huntsman go from 2% in the polls to where he’s competitive?

11/10: Mayor Ed Koch on The Right Hook

MIC CHECK! Let’s see those up twinkles as we #OccupyFTRRadio with the return of your weekly dose of right wing extremism. It’s where the RINOs and the Radicals comes together as one. It’s the anthem of the underground. This. Is…The Right Hook.

Joining your master of ceremonies Brodigan – who is not only the voice for the voiceless and the heart and soul of YRs nationwide, but also a nominee for the 2012 Long Island Personality of the Year – this week is…wait, that can’t be right. Ed Koch?

Yes, former NYC Mayor Ed Koch joins the show to discuss reform , redistricting, the NYPD ticket fixing scandal, his career in politics, and being one of the few on either side who seems willing to cross the aisle.
