Chris Christie to Heckler: SUCK IT!

Why couldn’t you be running for President, Big Man?

[VIDEO] Gov. Chris Christie on “Morning Joe”

Ah. I see Mitt Romney surrogate Chris Christie went on “Morning Joe” this morning to remind us all again why we prefer him to Mitt Romney.

Chris Christie: “Are you a patriot, or are you a patron?”

I’ve taken to calling myself the political director of my office, just because whenever anyone has a question they always come to me. Yesterday is was aboot 2012 and who our options are to run against the President. The best I could come up with is “meh.” I’ll get behind anyone who can win, but as for anyone who stirs any emotion…meh.

The one cat who seems to stir any emotion is Chris Christie, which really isn’t news. Everyone is begging him to run. He keeps saying no. None of us care. I still stand by my Yes We Can/You Betcha rule that says you have to finish at least one full term of office before I consider you for President. Christie makes it hard to do so.

I’m still waiting for actual results in New Jersey. In lieu of that, he seems to be doing well with the fundraising and red meat tossing

On Facebook, New Jersey, and Education Reform

Generally speaking, living in New York, when I get into a political discussion with someone that makes me want to bang my head against the bar, it’s usually from someone on the left. Conservatives up in these here parts are viewed by liberals with a morbid curiosity, and if they know you disagree with them will come armed with talking points for whatever the issue du joir is, while you’re just looking to drink a beer.

In this particular case however, it was one of my own. We were talking about the $500 million that Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg donated to the Newark school system. This happened late last year, when he appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and Newark Mayor Cory Booker.

This person I was talking to had a problem with this, for two inexplicable reasons:

[VIDEO] Chris Chrstie has a Lot of Balls

This is why we love Chris Christie. We’ve all read aboot how Illinois has raised its taxes, making it unfriendly to people who run businesses there. People have been saying that this is going to be great for neighboring states, and those neighboring states Governor’s are passively saying how they would be happy to welcome these businesses to their states.

Christie, on the other hand, is airing radio commercials in the state…

Chris Christie is a Disgusting, Filthy RINO

More than a few of us, while being thrilled to death that Paul Ryan is giving the response to the State of the Union, was hoping for it to be Chris Christie. More shocking than it not being him was the fact that it was offered to him and he turned it down. This, after turning down CPAC this year. What the hell dude?

The discussion on the blogs and the Twitters is all aboot why he wouldn’t want to do this, and yes, does this make him a “RINO.” Personally speaking, maybe he just doesn’t want the national spotlight? Anytime he gives an interview, it turns into seeing how many different ways he can be asked if he’s running for President.

Plus, you saw what happened with Sarah Palin when it was too much, too soon for her. It had started to happen to Christie. There was a national outrage because he went to Disneyworld while it snowed in New Jersey. The streets were plowed, but for two weeks all you heard was how the “rising star in the Republican party” was under fire, and how the “rising star of the Republican party” dropped the ball, and what does this mean for the “rising star of the Republican party” rising star of the Republican Party.

We love Chris Christie because he’s bringing fiscal conservatism to a deep blue state like New Jersey. We love Chris Christie because he’s blunt and cuts right to the point. We love Chris Christie because he’s showing the conservative policy can work in the Northeast.

How aboot we let him do his current job as Governor and turn some of those policies and rhetoric into results?
