Jon Huntsman Unveils Education Reform Plan, New Hampshire Too Close to Call

Not that anything else the Jon Huntsman campaign has done up into this point has made sense, but apparently he chose the day before the New Hampshire primaries – a “do or die” primary for him to see if he’s even going to make it out of the state – to unveil a new education reform plan.

Much like his economic and financial reform plans, it’s bold and full of everything conservative would want. It kind of makes you wonder why he wouldn’t have been talking aboot it all last year BEFORE people started voting. He may have gained traction in the polls and New Hampshire might actually be too close to call (I know, you’re shocked my headline was misleading).

Some bulletpoints of note:

Can Jon Huntsman Win? It’ll Take a Miracle

I’ve yet to find a single candidate in past primaries who has gone “all-in” in a state and had it work out for them. Jon Huntsman, his supporters, and those of us NotRomney’s who are hoping to derail Mitt before South Carolina are hoping for miracle.

He’s 2nd in most of the new polls (or statistically tied for second, I don’t count Ron Paul) and has two debates to wow a NH elecorate who is know for surprises. You can ask Hillary Clinton aboot that. I guess stranger things have happened. For now, here’s the commercial he’s airing in New Hampshire right now…

SHOCKER: Jon Huntsman Understands the Tea Party Better than Any Other Republican Candidate

If you read this blog, you know my frustration with the Jon Huntsman camapaign. I really wanted to give him a chance, but he’s yet to gain any traction in the polls and as much as I would like to see a Hillary-esque New Hampshire surprise, it’s looking doubtful.

And to add to that frustration…

“I have great regard for Sen. McCain. I love the man. But it’s another example of establishment piling on. It seems the more establishment piles on, Dole, McCain, all the rest, nobody cares. Nobody cares about this. I mean, none of the endorsements that Romney picked up have been a thing in terms of how people respond, because the people are looking for a new generation of leadership. They’re looking for a new approach to problem solving in this country. You can get all the Doles and McCains in the world as Romney probably will, but in the end, nobody cares.”

Enough with this [Candidate X] Must Drop Out Bullshit

(The graphic to your left was lifted by those upstanding lads at Misfit Politics)

I’m a Not-Romney guy. Newt Gingrich is my Not-Romney of choice. I’ve already discussed why Rick Perry campaign and Jon Huntsman campaign haven’t impressed me. Rick Santorum? I’ll have to Google him when I get home, but meh. But while I prefer one Not-Romney to the other two and it would be easier for him if they dropped out, this jive where people demand [candidate X] drop out and endorse is ridiculous.

I know everyone keeps getting more unhinged on the internets when you disagree with them, but three things…

VIDEO Huntsman: “Ron Paul Sucks”

“Unelectable” highlights Congressman Ron Paul’s racist and homophobic newsletters and asks the question, “Can New Hampshire voters really trust Ron Paul?”
