Newt: “Saved or Created My Ass!”

It’s always good to start off your morning with a nice chunk of red meat. This article isn’t raw to where the cow is still twitching (yes, I stole that from AllahP), but it still covers all the bases. You have the crap sandwich known as Obama stimulus, you have the state run media formerly known as the mainstream media, and it was written by Newt Gingrich. What more can you ask for on a Sunday morning?

I’ll leave the media bias for now, because if you’re reading this blog you obviously already know all aboot it. We should turn “What If George W. Bush Said it” into a drinking game, where everytime the fair and balanced MSNBC gives Dear Leader a pass for something W. would have been savaged form you do a shot. When they ignore Dear Leader altogether because Rush Limbaugh sneezed, take two shots.

Instead, let’s focus on the fuzzy math and accounting tricks that the Obama Campaign said they weren’t going to use, and even attacked George Bush and John McCain for (do a shot). So sayeth the former Speaker of ‘da House…

You Can’t Spell Bi-Partisan without “B.S.”

“Watching MSNBC to prepare for 12:15 hit this pm. Spin is that [Michael] Steele is not interested in unity [because] he opposes Daschle/Geithner/spending.” – @AmandaCarpenter

I had said a few days ago how “bi-partisan” is just a word the media uses to guilt Republicans into bending over and doing whatever the Democrat Party wants them to do. You know, because President Obama is the most popular guy EVAH, we should just do whatever he says even if we think it’s bad for America. If Republican’s dissent, they’re like racist or something.

Point of fact, this report from Amanda Carpenter on her most recent appearance on MSNBC…

My Ode to Hope and Change

I fought it for as long as I could. I really did. I tried, but I can’t fight it any more. His soothing voice…the way he walks…the way he wears his jeans…I’m head over heels for Obama. I am, he’s just…the dreamiest.

Seriously, how can anyone expect to stay objective over someone that amazing? He wants $1 Trillion for a stimulus plan no one can prove will work? I say give him TWO TRILLION! Obama will single handedly make me smarter, taller, richer, and remove the crabgrass on my lawn. Consider me down with B.F.O. – Blogging For Obama!

I heart him so much; I even wrote him a song.

I hope you like it.

I hope he likes it…

The Media, Not Obama, Will Overreach

You may or may not have heard, but P.E. BAM’s two daughters attended their first day of school today. It was all over the news. We heard the name of the school, saw a video of what the building looked like, heard details of the organic lunch that is offered to the students, and also heard how the school is specially equipped to deal with special cases like Obama’s daughters. You see, between their father being elected and them starting a new school in the middle of the year, it must be hard on them.

As I was listening to this, I couldn’t help but wonder how much harder it is for them WITH VIDEO CAMERAS BROADCASTING THEIR FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL AND SHOWING THE WORLD WHAT THEIR SCHOOL LOOKS LIKE AND WHERE IT IS.

The press corps is getting dangerously close to treating Obama the same way the paparazzi treats Brittney Spears. Remember all the recent news stories aboot how Obama was playing golf (while a war was going on), or how he finished a work out and ordered a sandwich – ham with a slice of melted cheese and a little bit of mustard?

When Liberals Complain Aboot Fox News…(No. 12 in a Series)

Apparently NBC (as in Nonstop Barack Coverage) has banned Ann Coulter for life from appearing on any NBC Network. She was scheduled to appear on the Today Show Tuesday morning, but was cut suddenly and replaced by Perez Hilton.

Granted, this is from Drudge, but…

NBC’s TODAY show abruptly cut Ann Coulter from its planned Tuesday broadcast, claiming the schedule was overbooked. But executives at NBC TODAY replaced Coulter with showbiz reporter Perez Hilton, who recently offered $1,000 to anyone who would throw a pie at Ann Coulter. Hilton is also launching a new book this week, RED CARPET SUICIDE.

But one network insider claims it was the book’s theme — a brutal examination of liberal bias in the new era — that got executives to dis-invite the controversialist. “We are just not interested in anyone so highly critical of President-elect Obama, right now,” a TODAY insider reveals. “It’s such a downer. It’s just not the time, and it’s not what our audience wants, either.”

When in doubt, blame the media

There was a recent poll taken that tells us SEVENTY-SEVEN percent of the people polled believe media is making financial crisis worse. What makes this poll particularly tasty is that it was conducted by Opinion Research Corporation…the same polling company that does all of CNN’s polls.

I’ll bet you all the money in my pockets right now that this poll doesn’t get mentioned by Wolf Blitzer…

Seventy-seven percent of Americans believe that the U.S. media is making the economic situation worse by projecting fear into people’s minds. The majority of those surveyed feel that the financial press, by focusing on and embellishing negative news, is damaging consumer confidence and damping investment, making a difficult situation much worse. The poll was conducted via telephone, December 4 – 7.

Richard L. Scheff, a national expert on corporate liability and white collar crime issues, warns media that they could potentially be exposed to liability despite apparent constitutional protections: “Although statements by the media are protected by the First Amendment, the survey results demonstrate that the public believes that the press bears some responsibility for the lack of confidence in the economy. One would hope that the media would act less out of self-interest in these times of national crisis,” said Mr. Scheff, vice chairman and partner with Philadelphia-based law firm Montgomery McCracken Walker & Rhoads.
