An Open Letter to Ron Paul Supporters REVISTED

I had a racist totally rationale Ron Paul supporter send me a video that claims Jon Huntsman can’t be trusted and is weak on China…because he adopted a baby from there. It showed pictured of Huntsman with his daughter and evil sounding Chinese music playing in the background. Unfortunately, when they aren’t trying to kill chemtrails with vinegar, this seems to be par for the course for a lot of the Paulbots and they’re coming out of the woodwork today.

It reminded me of a column my good friend (and former broadcast partner) Mark Radulich wrote back in 2007. This was the impression the gave four years ago. They’ve gotten worse…

Election 2012 Jumps Off TONIGHT on THE RIGHT HOOK

Should old acquaintance be…nah, bump that. Election 2012 is finally here and we’re back with podcasting answer to Sodom and Gomorrah and your conservative anthem for the underground…it’s the place where the RINOs and the radicals come together as one…it’s THE RIGHT HOOK.

And to kick off the New Year, we’re introducing you to two congressional candidates you’re going to be hear a lot about. CA-9’s Ricky Gill (he’s the cat on the left) is the youngest person to ever run for congress – he won’t even be old enough to serve until December – and he joins us to talk about running as a conservative in California and “the 209.” Stockton, son!

SHOCKER: Jon Huntsman Understands the Tea Party Better than Any Other Republican Candidate

If you read this blog, you know my frustration with the Jon Huntsman camapaign. I really wanted to give him a chance, but he’s yet to gain any traction in the polls and as much as I would like to see a Hillary-esque New Hampshire surprise, it’s looking doubtful.

And to add to that frustration…

“I have great regard for Sen. McCain. I love the man. But it’s another example of establishment piling on. It seems the more establishment piles on, Dole, McCain, all the rest, nobody cares. Nobody cares about this. I mean, none of the endorsements that Romney picked up have been a thing in terms of how people respond, because the people are looking for a new generation of leadership. They’re looking for a new approach to problem solving in this country. You can get all the Doles and McCains in the world as Romney probably will, but in the end, nobody cares.”

Enough with this [Candidate X] Must Drop Out Bullshit

(The graphic to your left was lifted by those upstanding lads at Misfit Politics)

I’m a Not-Romney guy. Newt Gingrich is my Not-Romney of choice. I’ve already discussed why Rick Perry campaign and Jon Huntsman campaign haven’t impressed me. Rick Santorum? I’ll have to Google him when I get home, but meh. But while I prefer one Not-Romney to the other two and it would be easier for him if they dropped out, this jive where people demand [candidate X] drop out and endorse is ridiculous.

I know everyone keeps getting more unhinged on the internets when you disagree with them, but three things…

Joe Scarborough May be a RINO Squish, but He Makes Excellent Points Here

I enjoy Joe Scarborough much more off of MSNBC. Granted I stopped watching after the network tried holding Sarah Palin as an accessory to murder in Arizona, but there was always a difference between the Joe on MSNBC Joe off. His radio show that was on WABC is actually what I tried to pattern my podcast “The Right Hook” after, and more often than not his Politico column’s have me nodding and saying “word, son!”

This week’s was a perfect example, that I think too many people on our side is going to dismiss since Scarborough is a squishy liberal RINO communist, and even worse…he’s quoting Maureen Dowd’s brother. That’s a shame because they lay out a blueprint the GOP should be listening too. The column goes more into detail, but the bullet points…

Newt Gingrich Judges Your Candidates Economic Plan

“Nothing will turn America around more than election night, when Barack Obama loses decisively.” - Newt Gingrich

My friend and colleague Jimmie Bise was lamenting the other day on the Twitters on how none of our candidates are talking aboot the issues (disclosure, we’re both Gingrich supporters). You hear a lot of who is being mean, who should drop out, who’s lying…the candidates are almost on the verge of ragging on each other mothers.

There’s hasn’t been nearly enough talk aboot jobs/taxes/economy at all, and that includes the candidates themselves not talking aboot their plans (Huntsman’s and Perry’s were particularly good). Newt Gingrich tried to rectify that with a bus tour across Iowa touting his economic plan…
